The Panama Temple is Dedicated!!

There are 40,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Panama, one of which is my Missionary baby brother, Daniel. Today this beautiful temple is being dedicated to the Lord, as it overlooks the Panama Canal. Tomorrow, people will come to the temple to receive their greatest blessings. . .to make sacred covenants with their Heavenly Father and to do temple work for their ancestors. The LDS people of Panama are so thrilled!

Elder Daniel Goold has been serving the Lord in Panama for 19 months. He loves his work and the people of Panama. He is so excited to be part of a temple dedication and hopes to meet the Prophet, Thomas S. Monson.

This temple is the 127th to be dedicated, worldwide. It is the 3rd in Central America, with the others in Costa Rica and Guatemala. The construction of 3 more temples in Central America have been announced: El Salvador, Honduras and one more in Guatemala.

Here is another shot of my brother, Daniel with some of his missionary buddies. . . he's the last one in line, looking so serious.

I have a testimony that the temple is the House of the Lord. I am so grateful for the blessings of the temple in my life, that my family and I are sealed together for all eternity, most especially. I'm grateful for the assurance I receive while in the temple, that I am a Daughter of God and that He loves me.

Before a temple is dedicated, the public is invited to open house tours during a two week period, to walk through the sacred building and learn more about what we do inside our temples. This is an endowment room in the Panama Temple. The murals were painted by a local woman artist.

This is the baptistery in the Panama Temple. I recently posted about an experience I had while doing baptisms in my local temple. I can't wait for Emma to be able to go to the temple in about 6 months, when she is 12!

The Celestial Room is my favorite place inside a temple. This photo is of the Panama Celestial Room. The chandelier looks a lot like the one in my local temple! I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the Celestial Room, than any other place on earth.

This beautiful woodwork is a design inlaid on chairs in the Panama Temple.

I am so proud of my sweet brother, Daniel. Here he is with his Mission President and the Panama Temple in the background. In keeping with the spirit of Daniel's missionary work, if you don't know much about temples or eternal families, but would like to learn more, click on the picture of Christ at the top of this blog . . . You can type in any questions you might have. You can also google "Panama Temple" for more info about this temple, specifically.

These are all the missionaries in my brother's mission. I can't pick Daniel out, he's probably the tallest one! I can't wait to see him in 5 months!!

What a beautiful Temple! That painting is amazing. How exciting for Daniel to be there. He looks like such a missonary! I know that sounds funny because he is a missionary, but you know what I'm talking about.

Wow! What a sweet testimony! Thank you so much for sharing it with all your fans. I couldn't pick Daniel out in the group photo either. When I tried to blow it up bigger, the resolution was so bad, you couldn't recognize features on the faces. Maybe Daniel will know which one he is!!

I'm so glad you posted about the temple. I wanted to post about its dedication, but haven't had time. I love that you posted pictures of your brother, too. It was fun to see him while we were done there.
