Joshua Levie and Benjamin Jared

Josh (11.5) and Ben (6). Ben refused to smile with his teeth because he thinks his eyes scrunch up too much.

I love this one, with Joshs hand encircling Ben . . .

The photographer emailed me after the photo shoot telling me she would like to photograph Josh again the next time we went to St. George, because he is a perfect model.

Matthew Levie

I have ALMOST ten nieces and nephews on the Idiart side, but only these two cuties on my side!

I love this little sweet boy, Matthew. He is so darling.

The Goold Grandsons . . . (although Matthew is the only one that carries the Goold name!)

Such a handsome boy!

He gets his good looks from his handsome daddy, look at that cleft in Pauls chin!

Ariana Chanel

I hired my new sister-in-law's photographer to take pictures of all the Goold Grandkids, the hour before the wedding. This is my niece, Ariana Chanel. She's 6 years old and such a beautiful girl!

I love this picture of my brother, Paul with his kids!

Katrina and Ari are special friends. They had such fun together at Magic Mountain. They are actually the same height, but Nina is wearing heels!

I love that when Ari laughs, she covers her mouth, too cute!

Ari and Ben are in the same grade, she is about 4 months older than him.

Capri Sun Purses!

I found this super old picture from an Activity Day Girls sewing project I helped with. This was taken BEFORE I was YW President and now I'm subbing in Activity Day Girls, so it's been 18 months! Anyway, I thought it was cute because all the girls except the front 3 are Beehives now. Rachel is on the far left, next to cousin Eliza. Emma is in the back, second from left side. She and Rachel have changed so much in such a short amount of time! We drank so many Capri Suns to make these. I saw some larger ones for sale in Wal-Mart the other day. Weird.

Looks like I need to hit the Mid-West!

I have visited 30 states (60%) and forgot to check Wyoming. Oops! I looked into flying my family to Illinois to see Nauvoo and Carthage, last week. And then, I looked at hopping to Philly to visit my brother and his wife (they're moving there next month for Medical School.) Fun dreams, since it takes about $500 bucks each person! I wonder if I'll ever get to these other states? I do want to see Nauvoo, but really don't care about the other states.

Ben's BDay

OK, Ben turned 6 two months ago and I posted about his friend BDay party, but I didn't post this. My parents came up and surprised us with a visit. The kids were so happy to have them here! Ben especially loves G'pa Goold.

In the Idiart family, the girls strongly outweigh the boys. This pic shows Ben with his brother and 3 male cousins (He has 6 girl cousins!)

Silly Shots of Spring

Remember the last time Emma had a sleep over? No? Click HERE to be reminded. The next time she had a sleepover, the guys were camping, so I let her and her friend sleep in MY BED. They fell asleep watching a movie at about 10pm (tired after a track meet) and I couldn't resist taking this.

Josh was involved all year in a Samba Group that met once a week to practice. He played at school functions with his Group. He's also taking guitar and piano lessons and plans to join The Band in Middle School. He wants to learn drums and electric guitar in The Band.

Rachel and a friend got together to make a diorama after studying about the Oregon Trail. Luckily her Aunt Allison had some old school cowboys and indians and we found a cougar to place in the mountains to make this scene BYU approved. She did a great job. Rather than keep it, we took a photo to never forget all her hard work.

Katrina had an AWESOME time visiting our family in Idaho. She hung out with the little ones, just like she does at home. She spent lots of time on the trampoline, too! I love this pic of her. She has such funny expressions, I think she'll be great in the Drama Dept. someday!

When I went shopping for clothes for Dan and Madi's wedding, Ben saw this outfit. He just HAD to try it on. He wanted it SO badly, telling me that his friend Kelden wears cool clothes like this and he REALLY needed just ONE cool outfit. He looked so handsome, I couldn't say NO. He's 6 years old and this is the first outfit I've bought him. He's the Hand-Me-Down King. When I wanted a picture, he made his embarrased/pretending to be mad face.

Sporty Spring

I didn't blog much in the spring and missed a few newsy events:

Emma ran track this year and participated in hurdles, high jump and a relay team. She was pretty good and enjoyed being with all her friends (mostly the boys) on the team. I didn't get many good pictures, but I liked watching her!

Josh did GREAT at the fundraising "Jog-a-thon" this year. I wonder if he'll be part of the cross country team next year in Middle School?

When G'pa Goold came for a visit, he tuned up all the bikes and got the kids excited to ride. Rachel learned to take little JUMPS! Here she is, catching some air!

G'pa learned that 7 yr. old Katrina and 6 yr. old Ben didn't know how to ride a bike and took them down to the temple parking lot to learn. It took them about 20 minutes and they were pros! The temple president even came out to visit with us. (The Temple was closed that day!)

Ben used his feet as brakes for awhile at first, and sometimes he even just crashed into the planters to stop, but soon he had it all down. He rides with his tounge out, such is his sheer concentration! Thank you, Grandpa! We'll need you to come and teach all the kids to drive in a few year!

Temple Square

Before we went to my brother's wedding in St. George, we hit Salt Lake City and took a tour of Temple Square with Diana. I'm not sure Diana will ever be the same after so many trips with us, sleeping 8 people in one hotel room. Poor girl. She's experiencing American Culture: Cheap, Large Family, Mormon Culture at least!

I told the kids to act serious in the first picture and silly in the next. They translated that to mean, frown in the first picture and act confused in the second. I don't think I could make it as a professional photographer.

Diana and I ditched the kids and visited "The Christus" with some nice sister missionaries for awhile. It was nice to have a little one-on-one time with my favorite 16 year old, in the world! I'm going to miss her so much. She's always so kind to me, very grateful for all I do and a good friend. I love my Dianita! We had set up a tour of BYU in the afternoon, but our car broke down and we had to miss the tour. I'm sad, but maybe Diana will still attend BYU someday. I can dream about it, can't I?

The Reception!

My brother Mike is trying to beat Josh up and the bride and groom are laughing. My family is a little weird. They get it from me.

Rachel giving her newly married Uncle a hug!

Two old married men talk about life. Ben is completely zoned out.

My adorable sister and moi!

Katrina Elizabet, almost 8 years old!

Benjamin Jared, just turned 6!

"OK, if I ignore my Grandpa, will he go away?!"

"Ewww, ignoring Grandpa is NEVER an option!"

My parents and their 7 grandkids (only 1 is taller than my mom . . . but not for long!!)

The reception was on a beautiful golf course. Matthew & Josh took a walk with Aunt B before the party was over!

Dan & Madi's Wedding

It was such a joy to attend the sealing for time and all eternity, of my baby brother Daniel and his lovely wife, Madison on May 15th in St. George, Utah.

It was also wonderful to see my beloved sister, Briana, home from Italy. We have a similar picture of us kissing Dan when he left on his mission. This might be the last time we show him this much affection!

I love this new sister! Isn't she gorgeous? And the most darling thing, EVER!

This pic reminds me of the feelings I felt on my wedding day . . . the feelings of innocence and how much I adored Damian. It epitomizes the feeling I had of leaving my parents and my old life and clinging to my husband and new life. I love it. Very sweet.

My Emma is only 5 years younger than Madi. A little weird to think that in 5 years this COULD be Emma (If she meets someone as awesome as Dan, and is as mature as Madi). That's a BIG IF . . .

Ben was in a BAD mood by this time. He'd been having his pictures taken for about 2 hours and it was HOT! This is the bride and groom with all the Goold Grandkids!

Benny's Soccer

Ben as Goalie. I love this puny little goal.

Damian and the coach (in the red jacket) played against all the boys, while they waited for the opposing team to show up. Mostly the little boys just kicked Damian in the shines to get the ball away from him.

Love this picture, Ben was having so much fun!

I love that Ben runs with his hands all funky and his tongue out.

Hands, tongue again.

Fists curled, tongue out again!

The two cutest fans on the field!

Too cute!
