Friendly Ghosts of Christmas Past

This was the picture I sent with Christmas Cards 6 years ago . . . when Katrina was posing as Baby Jesus and Emma as her mother, Mary. Josh LOVED pretending to be Joseph and Rachel was my Angel then, as she is now. The kids all look so little, I just love this picture!

Just to give you a laugh. . . I didn't have a digital camera then, and it was cheaper to get triples of a roll than to do reprints . . . so I took a whole roll of the kids, developed it 3 times and had about 72 pictures to send out. In most of the pictures Katrina was SCREAMING bloody murder. Emma kept her composure the whole time, even with the HOLLERING baby on her lap.

I sent the ones like this, with a happy baby "Jesus" to people who gave us money every year for Christmas. For the rest of you, you probably got a screaming photo. Funny to even try to think of Baby Jesus as a crier . . . doesn't the hymn, "Away in a Manger" say, "No Crying He makes!" in the second verse? Hmmm, not in most of my Christmas Cards back in '02!!

That is the cutest Christmas picture I've ever seen. I showed it to Mary and she kept thinking everyone was Benny. She had no idea that Nina was in there! I think it's amazing how much our world has changed from developing film to the joys of digital and blogging!

Too cute Sarah, and my how the kids have changed! I can't believe how much your kids look like each other when they are younger, because they each has such distinctive looks now! I think in those awkward teenage years when my kids don't want to take family pictures anymore, I will just re-use some great Christmas photos from the past. This would be a fun one to re-send out in a couple of years.

How adorable! That is such a creative and cute Christmas card picture! It's crazy to think that it was that recent that we all didn't have the advantage of digital pictures. Thanks to that development, people now think our children are always as adorable and coorperative as we make them to be in the one shot that turned out (out of many!) that we then mass produce. Or, in my case, I don't even get the one picture, but I photoshop 2-3 pictures together to create that happy scene!

I remember this cute Christmas picture. I love it!! My mom still has it in her album. I color-copied it from her album so I could have it in my scrapbook. We don't get to see you guys nearly enough, but I love your pictures...new and old! :)

I had this picture hanging on my fridge for four years! Now I will have to dig it out and see if I got a crying one or not, because I never sent money, but I don't think I got a crying one either. I love it either way!!

I love it. What a neat picture. It is fun to see the younger versions of your cute kids.
I like the nativity idea. I would like to see some of the crying ones too.

I remember this picture. In fact, I was just thinking about it the other day. I was thinking that maybe next year we'll have a little baby and Jameson and Paige can be Mary and Joseph. It made me smile to think about it.

Who sends you money every year? I want on ther Christmas card list. I feel bad I never got in on the chocolate giveaway. I haven't been very good at keeping up with everyone's blogs- with Christmas and all. But know that I love you and that I always look forward to catching up with you and your beautiful family. You are an inspiration to all you meet and I'm so lucky to have you as a friend!
