This is Benjamin, my youngest. He will be five in a few months, but most people don't believe it. He hardly does anything for himself, he is so babied. I bought him a bubblegum machine and made him a sticker chart to earn the dang thing. If he gets himself dressed in the morning and at night, he gets a sticker. Ten stickers and the machine is his. Next we'll move onto wiping himself and taking his dishes to the sink. Baby steps for my baby. At this age, Emma was dressing the two kids younger than her, wiping Josh and cleaning off the whole table!
But Ben does have an important position in our family. He is the family comedian and makes us all laugh. He is a little squirt and the funniest little sass you ever saw. I think he will be a class clown someday! We sure get a kick out of him!

those youngest children...such slackers!! my brother was babied too, (you and I are both oldest in our family so this might sound familiar) I remember him on the potty yelling "Im done!" and running to go wipe him! Now he is a giant man with a tiny wife and 3 little butts of his own to wipe!
Hey, I think youngest kids always get the raw end of the deal.... everybody thinks they're SOOOOO spoiled, when in reality, they spend most of their lives trying to catch up to their SUPERIOR older siblings that are PERFECT at everything!! "Oh, you're So-and-So's little sister? Oh, So-and-So is SOOO AMAZING! You must be so proud to be related to them!"

See, I think youngest kids deserve all the positive, personal attention they get. Not that I haven't been to years of therapy or anything. I don't have issues...
I think Livy and Hailey should have been born in a different order. Livy is the one who never did anything for her self and Hailey's motto is "I know how do it myself". I love those pictures, what a goof!
In defense of Benjamin--he is just working the system. He is taking after his name sake, Uncle Jared, who always seems to get what he wants in the family--even to this day. In the odd chance that you read this some day, I love you, Ben.
We think 4 is so old but it isn't! Enjoy the cute little guy. He will be off and in school before you know it...and off and married with kids of his own before you know it, too.
