I'm so proud of Rachel and Emma!

Rachel gave a talk (speech) in Primary (The children's meeting) yesterday. She and her Daddy wrote it. She was so cute (and nervous!)

"Today, I was asked to speak on faith, baptism and covenants. I will be baptized on Sept. 27th. I need to show my faith now by preparing myself to follow in Jesus' footsteps. In Matthew 3:13, 16 and 17 we read:

"Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him . . . and Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God, descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

On my baptism day, Heavenly Father will also be very pleased with me. He will send the Holy Ghost to me when I keep my covenants to obey all his commandments, to always remember Him, and to be a witness of Him at all times. When I make mistakes after my baptism I will use faith to repent.

I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I can't wait to be baptized and confirmed a member of Their church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

Emma recieved her Faith in God Award, today. She's been working on the requirements since she was baptized. I am very proud of her. She finished it about 6 months early and now can breathe easy, until she turns 12 and starts working on her Personal Progress Award! Maybe I'll finally earn mine, Love you girls~

Oh, and please notice Emma's manicure. She is so creative.

That is a big deal! Not all the kids in our Primary have done it (which is too bad because it is a wonderful program), so I know! Shhhh, Nick is going to finish up the last of his FIG requirements tomorroow (Sat) so that he can be completed with it by Sunday. Talk about waiting to the last second! (he just turned 12 yesterday, but he only has 3 more "bullets" to do, sooooo...)
