I just took my parents to the airport after a nice 4 day weekend with them. They came for Rachel's Baptism and we had a great time. I hate seeing them go, but luckily, I have 3 more trips planned to see them before the years end.
My mom went walking with me on my 3 mile loop every morning (even getting up at 5:30!). She sewed me a brand new dress and did my laundry. She took Rachel shopping for some new dresses, and went shopping with me, too! We stayed up late watching chick flicks. It sure is nice to have a mom that is also your Best Friend!
My dad whipped through our house like a whirlwind. He cleaned the WHOLE GARAGE and fixed all sorts of things on the way. He moved furniture, cooked breakfast every morning, played hide and seek with the kids and taught me how to use my new TiVo features. Benny especially got a kick out of Grandpa's "WITH GUSTO" scripture reading!
All in all, we had a wonderful time and I wish they would come visit once a month! They'll be missed! Luckily, I'll have two weeks of them, to myself, when we go to Italy next month for my sister Briana's wedding!

Yeah for visits. Sounds like you had a wonderful one.
What a fun trip. I already can't wait for your posts on Italy and the wedding. What exactly is Scripture reading with gusto? Is it just what it sounds to be?
How fun to have your parents come visit. I love it when mine come to visit me, which isn't often enough. Have fun in Italy! I agree with Andrea, I can hardly wait for your posts on Brianna's wedding in Italy? What were the results anyway from the wedding announcement photo voting thing you posted about awhile ago??
Lucky! When family comes to visit me then I do more cooking, more cleaning, and more laundry. How would it be to have someone come do something for me when they visit! I really am not complaining. I like visits....forces me to clean and I don't mind laundry. Cooking is a different story....
i love your parents...they are too fun! So have one question for you...how do you add the special link that shows who visits your blog?
We had so much fun! I loved our walks/talks and I even saw a beautiful pheasant (I think I forgot to tell you) when I was walking alone once (and keeping an eye on Emma). So I'm not real happy with the results of the bridesmaid dress and so I'm bringing it unfinished to SLC next weekend and we'll see if it is salvageable. If not, we'll shop and look for something else. I didn't make it home for my class the day we flew home. We got stuck in Vegas because there were three wreaks on the freeway and so I only made it to the last half of my college class. But that was plenty to have to sit through! See you next week, and then the week after also. What did you decide about Oakland? Are you driving yourself or did you convince Damian to go with you. If he decides to fly down, we'll have fun with him too. I'm trying to get tickets to the Relief Society Conference. Jeanne Wilson is going and has tickets. She says we need tickets. She offered to let us spend the night at her house - she has lots of empty bedrooms. We should at least stop and see her! It would be fun. Maybe we could get Nicole to meet us at her mom's. I have more addresses for you, I'll email them to you.
It is fun to be spoiled once in a while, and your parents are awesome! It is nice how we parents get better with age, kinda like antiques!! LOL
Love ya
