The guys pictured were known as THE FAB FIVE: Dave from Australia, Kendall from Washington, Hal from Georgia, Jim from LA and front and center, Damian from San Fran. They were all preparing for missions and didn't want girlfriends. They tried to date one girl from each state (with corresponding stickers to mark their "conquests") I was from Alaska and they constantly set me up with their friends . . . They had a two date maximum with each girl, so I think I met everyone on their floor.
They also introduced me to two cuties from Georgia, Kelly and Kari (I'm also FRONT and CENTER, Hmmm, and look who married whom?!) Besides providing me a husband, THE FAB FIVE provided me with two lifelong friends. . .Kari has the BEST blog, that I check daily, and Kelly lives 30 minutes from me with the most adorable family of GIRLS!
Little piece of my history. . .and I think it might have been on this night that Damian kissed Kari. I do like bringing that up and laughing hysterically at the irony of it!

Ok...double prizes here! Nice job getting a PICTURE up on the blog! Whoo-hoo! Very smart. You look stellar (of course), and very happy. And, for the 2nd prize...is that Damian with his mouth wide open?!?? Is he in SHORTS?? This is the same mmeelllooww, easy-going high councilman that I know?? Can I officially say how SHOCKED I am?? ;) I see now where Emma gets her "energy" from! He's always tried to get me to think it was from fun-lovin' Sarah!

Yes, Damian certainly had a big mouth, pre-mission, he used to yell across the Marriott Center before devotionals, "Hey SARAH, You look HOT!" Wait, was that in my dreams? The kids saw the actual photo laying around and laughed at Daddy's white socks and hiking boots (and dorky shorts) and check out the Aussie, he pegged and rolled his jeans. That must have still been in, Down Under.
Ok...well, if a mission takes a guy that will yell across the Marriot Center to a girl about how hot she looks, and tames him to be one of the most respectful, kind, uplifting men on the planet...I NEED TO SERVE A MISSION! Wow. What a difference 2 dedicated years can do!
I noticed that YOU are so strategically placed we can't see if you're wearing the shorts with white socks and boots, too, or if you've got your pants rolled like the Aussie...clever. Veerrrryy clever. ;)
Wow- this made my day! I'm sorry I have been so lame about blogging this week. It has been crazy. Anyway- that picture is awesome! I think it may have been that night that Damian and I kissed! Good times- you are a lucky girl!:) It makes me laugh to read other people's comments about Damian being easy-going and mellow. That is not my memory of him. Either way I know he's great. Love you both!
